Urgent Prayer Request, Please!

Dear Pastor Barnett,

I’m reaching out to ask for you to add me and my family to your prayer list. I am a member of your church (Glendale campus). I am a believer….I’m fasting, praying, tithing, and believing God for everything I’m talking with you about. But, it’s important for you to also know….I’m fed up with the enemy trying to not only steal my 15yr old sons life, but to further destroy my family too.

So, I’m launching a counter attack and I’m calling in all of God’s people. John 10:10 sums it up “the enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy”. And I simply cannot sit back quietly to watch without action the strategic attack the enemy has launched against our young people. Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death for 10-34yrs olds. And Dec 19th, 2018 the enemy tried to convince my son that he should end his life. But God had and still has a different plan for Jacob’s life. There’s so much to tell you, but in short that night before I went to bed and while I was praying, there was an overwhelming sense to pray for Jacob’s safety, and I did. Now, don’t get me wrong….I pray for my kids each day. But this was different and pressing. Thank you, Jesus that I was obedient. That night, as Jacob had begun to execute his plan of taking his own life, he stopped and came to get me so I could get him medical help. Later, when asked by medical persons why he stopped, he says he doesn’t know. Well, I certainly do and I’m guessing you do too. God put his hedge of protection around Jacob that night.

I’m absolutely believing that God has an amazing call on Jacob’s life; to touch millions of people for God’s kingdom and glory. And the enemy knows that too; he’s aware that Jacob poses a tremendous threat as does this entire generation of young people. We all know you don’t worry or pay attention to things that aren’t important or that you don’t care about. But folks the enemy cares about destroying these young people, including but not limited to my Jacob.

And this momma is on her knees and fighting back. The gloves are off! I’m calling in all believers to join me and stand in the gap (Matthew 18:20 “Where two or three gather in my name, I am there with them”). The enemy isn’t the only one building a strategy. It’s past time to get radical for God’s kingdom and claim authority and victory over young people.

Please ask your prayer team and/or congregation to join me in prayer. Not only for my family, but for all the young people across this great nation. Let’s rise up in unity body of Christ! The time is not only now, but its URGENT for us to make a move and expose the enemy for what he is.

Please, stand with me in prayer:

• Jacob’s re-dedication of his life to God’s calling and kingdom. The complete healing of his mind, body, soul, and spirit

• Healing between Jacob and his Dad-John and between our daughter Gabby and John

• Salvation for my husband John, daughters Gabby & Kylie, our son-in-law Brandon and grandson Nolan

• The salvation of my siblings, Kevin, Teresa, Crissy & Chris

• What the enemy means for harm to turn to good – (Genesis 50:20 – “As for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good” that we will see unprecedented numbers of young people receive salvation and answer God’s calling on their lives.
